What a wonderful place to explore magical worlds, travel to other countries, and learn more about the world around us!
The Library houses a collection of over 7,000 books, periodicals, and audiobooks. The library has an automated circulation system that allows all patrons of Canal School Library to use the computer catalog to locate and check out materials as well as access the library's collection online. Materials are loaned to students weekly.
Students may visit the library anytime during the school day. Classrooms visit the library 1 period a week for 45 minutes. Their time in the library is spent learning information literacy skills which will enable them to become more independent library users as well as effective information problem solvers. Also within their 45 minutes we read a story and students will do a book selection.
